Yesterday I felt like a little boy in my excitement, as I looked out of my door and witnessed the snow coming down. Today I drove with Steve to Mississippi to pick up a mini-van that was donated and got to see the snow cover on the mash-lands and the swamps. But I could not take any pictures because I forgot my memory card. Hum...bug

Christmas Dinner... charbroiled oysters :)
As the pictures clearly show, global warming is seriously effecting in
New Orleans :)
Steve and Bronwen are my leaders, they took me out for an early Christmas dinner, and encouraged me to try char-broilded oysters and I learned they are flipping AMAZING!!!!!!
P.S This update contained no substance. So I thought I ought to quickly add a short story. I got a call last Sunday from a church about 45 minutes away from New Orleans, and heard how a older fellow with lots of health problems was getting ticketed because of his over-grown lot and because of the Katrina and Gustav debris still on it. He had 2 days to get everything fixed up or else would be taken to court. So I went and helped Monday morning, it ended up being a 12 hour work day; but I will not bore you with the details, nor tell how I put out my back, nor stress you out with the stories about the big rip in our dump trailer tire and how the truck broke down after renting a brush cutter from Home Depot, now carry on about all the extra excitement these things brought about. Instead, I well tell you, I got a call a couple of day ago and heard that our work paid off; the city dropped the charges against the poor old man and said we did an excellent job. This was encouraging, especially since we were working in the dark towards the end of the day, so the lot was by no means perfect.
