In May I flew to Texas and tiled the hallway and kitchen of the church building where my dad pastors and then went to a YWAM Staff conference in Dallas. After that I got home and got things ready for the teams coming. Last week I did six solid days of gutting. A team of 8 gutted the first 4 days and a team of 55 gutted Friday and Saturday. Today, I just got finished doing yards and cleaning while they are doing homeless ministry and this afternoon we'll go do children ministry with them Lord willing. So yeah, this huge team is phenomenally amazing and even has several people from Burma and Sudan! They lead several people to the Lord at the Juvenile Detention Center yesterday and really blessed the family for whom they gutted the house.

One piece of wonderful news is we have a super wonderful new volunteer here for the summer, she has been very helpful, encouraging and affirming. She truly has an amazing servant heart and one of the biggest Texas accents I've heard. I am catching myself talking like a Texan, maybe I will actually sound like one, the next time you hear me yak :)
LaceyLoo our new volunteer from Texas :)
Ronald and Lethia and their son who just graduated from Kindergarten :)
A group from Kanses
55 folks from Dallas Texas
A long time ago I mentioned Lethia and her family in the Lower 9th
ward. Well, she just got to move from her F.E.M.A trailer into a new house and has been inviting me over for dinner all the time. She normally invites lots of friends and family over too. I and the folk I drag along with me have had some specially opportunities to minister and a true immersion into the African American culture.
