Christmas in August?

Time to begin now!   Here’s how to help with Operation Christmas Child/ Operation Shoebox in addition to praying:

1. Use a standard size shoe box --wrapping is not required.

2. Choose ‘boy or girl’ and age category: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14.

3. Fill the box with a variety of gifts that will bring delight to a child.  (A list of gift ideas for you to take home is in the foyer.)

4. Donations are needed to help with shipping. ($7/box needed)

5. Tape on the appropriate label (in foyer) to the top of each box & place a rubber band around each closed shoe box and drop off here at our church building by November 14.

Calling Men to Prayer!

• The Texas Baptist Men’s Prayer night meets the third Thursday of each month at a church in our city giving men the opportunity to join with others in prayer and fellowship. Men of San Antonio take this opportunity to come together in corporate prayer for revival in our city, our state and our nation.

27 August  -  Split Rock Research Foundation Presentation

•  Presented by Jim & Penny Caldwell who are Christians who lived in Saudi Arabia for over ten years.  While there they did a lot of hiking and searching for the site of the Israelite Exodus. 

They will be showing the results of their research in a two-hour presentation with slides & video clips at the following churches this weekend. (A love offering may be taken.)

30 August  -  Cottage Prayer Meeting

•  Location:  Martindale home

•  Time: 6:00 p.m.

•  This is a time for prayer to seek guidance on the direction Spring Branch Baptist  should go in the coming year.

•  Please volunteer your home for a date of your choice.

11 September  -  Gospel Sing!

•  The Saggy Bottom Boys from Granbury, Texas will entertain us with their Gospel music from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

13 September  -  Cottage Prayer Meeting

• Time: 6:00 p.m.
• This is a time for prayer to seek guidance on the direction Spring Branch Baptist  should go in the coming year.
